University Ave - 5 - Week Intermediate Ceramics Class, 7/25-8/22, 6-8PM (Thursday)

Once week on Thursday.

This course is meant for someone who is comfortable on the wheel, who can center and pull without close attention. You should have basic wheel-throwing skills before taking this class.  (1-2 multi-week classes are recommended). This class will focus on building better throwing, trimming and glazing skills. 

Possible projects include making sets, throwing larger bowls and vases, and possibly handles, lids, and feet.  The class also includes 1 - 25lbs bags of Gold Art high-fire clay (wet clay, not finished works).  Participants should anticipate some pieces being used for skill-building and practice only.  Additional clay will cost $38 per 25lbs. Recycled clay is free for use.

Everything you make will be food, microwave and dishwasher-safe.

Practice, practice! Studio membership is available to students who have completed a 5-week class. Students receive a first-month membership discount of $85, and clay is purchased in the studio at $38 per 25# bag. Membership discount is applicable within 3 months of your completed class, space permitting. Please email for details.

Cancellation Policy:

Full refund if canceled 15 days before class. 50% refund if cancellation is 10 days prior to first class. No Refund after this 10 day period.Quick make-up sessions are possible in a 30 minutes increment before and or after a pre-scheduled ongoing class.

*Please note individuals with long nails might find it difficult to use the potter's wheel. We highly advise trimming your nails prior to the course!
*If possible, please bring an apron and or towel to keep your self clean, but there is always a chance you can get a little dirty. Clay is a none staining material that washes out with ease.
