Monroe St - 5 - Week Beginners Wheel Class, 11/23-12/21, 10am-12pm (Saturday)

Once a week, every Saturday! Classes will consist of 5 consecutive AM sessions.

Join us for an immersive 5-week pottery class designed to accommodate all skill levels, from beginners to moderate potters. Each session includes individualized instruction in a supportive studio environment.

Class Details:

• Class Fee: Includes unlimited clay during class time and the ability to keep up to 10 finished pieces.

• Safety and Usability: All creations are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.

• Session Structure:

  • Class 1: Introduction to the studio, clay wedging, centering, and wheel throwing basics.

  • Class 2: Review of wheel throwing techniques, focus on creating cylinders and cups.

  • Class 3: Demonstration on trimming pieces from previous classes, open studio for creating cups and bowls.

  • Class 4: Instruction on trimming and finishing wet work.

  • Class 5: Glazing techniques and completion of projects.

• Additional Visit: One visit required post-class for picking up finished work.

• Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 17 years old. Participants aged 14-16 may attend if accompanied by an adult.

Policies:

• Cancellation: Full refund if canceled 15 days before the first class. 50% refund if canceled 10 days prior. No refunds after this period, subject to a 5% service fee.

• Make-Up Sessions: Quick make-up sessions available in 30-minute increments before or after pre-scheduled ongoing classes.

Preparation Tips:

• Participants with long nails are advised to trim them before the course.

• Wear clothes suitable for getting dirty.

Membership Option:

• Graduates are eligible for studio membership with a first-month discount of $90. Clay available for purchase at studio prices.
